As much as we’d like to have Bill Murray at the top of our website for all of 2010, the past weeks have seen a wild tornado of excitement, organization, team-huddles, improvisation, and decision-making in the realm of Hometapes. This “realm” truly extends across the world, into bedrooms and offices and tour vans shared by the bands, artists, and extended family that make this all tick.

We can’t wait to tell you more about 2010. But, as one last ode to our favorite year yet, 2009, we had to be sure to give some space to our little holiday project, the Hometapes 2009 tape sampler. We made an edition of 500 to commemorate the year, featuring songs by Megafaun, Bear In Heaven, CYNE, All Tiny Creatures, and Slaraffenland. It was really fun to make — and yes, it is our first tape. It won’t be our last.
